I would have liked the order in two or more bags, but I was happy to find black currants online since I couldn't find any stores sellib=ng them.

Would be better if it were in several smaller bags than one large bag.

The currants are wonderful, but the dry ice had sublimated completely by the time the shipment arrived: the currants were cool, but nowhere near frozen. So although they taste great, I won't be able to use them in some of the ways I intended

you recommend we rinse the currants before we eat them. When I do that I see lots of nutrient color going down the drain. You say that there are no pesticides used. So I figure it is okay to not rinse the nutrients out. A little dirt, twigs, bugs should not harm one. What is your opinion on this?
Real at last!

I haven't had any black currants for 10 years, since I left Poland. Finally I was craving them so much that I started to look online and found this. Eureka! The package traveled to Oregon, so it took 3 days via USPS, thus it was defrosted but it doesn't matter. The berries are awesome and REAL. Before I had gotten duped a couple times buying something called "currants" which were in fact tiny raisins... yak!
I just can't get enough of the real black currants now and am enjoying them A LOT with great Polish recipes. THANK YOU!
Seems to be loaded with the antioxidants which i was looking for. The package bag was fine and placed most of them in the freezer. I eat them after they are defrosted to get the full nutrient values.

A great deal.

The currants are great! But the shipping was AWFUL. USPS 2-day priority shipping took 5 days. The dry ice was completely gone. And USPS told me, when I asked for a partial refund on the shipping, that they don't guarantee 2-day priority shipping when you purchase 2-day priority shipping!
I do love the way the currants are grown, and minimally processed before shipping. Excellent product!
Wish this was as available as it is in europe

The blackcurrants arrived still frozen and within 4 days of shipping. They were packaged in a sealed bag which made them easy for storage. The wife just made a blackcurrant and apple crumble and the blackcurrants were so refreshing I can't put it into words, you'll just have to order some of these fabulous berries and try them yourself. I know I will be ordering more.
delicious, but with some work for the customer to do first

I love blackcurrants, and was very happy with my bag of frozen ones. There is good reason they ask you to pick over them and wash them before eating them, though. I wish I had done so more carefully the first 2 times I made smoothies out of them. Watch for the grape seed shaped things... I got 15 of them in one cup of the berries. They were little snails. I will pick over the rest more carefully. Once I get used to this, (squirmy me) I know I will thoroughly enjoy them once again!
